Tamas Parrag joined Strategic Claim Consultants in October 2022 as an Estimator, bringing a unique international perspective and diverse technical background to his role. After graduating from high school in Hungary in 2001 and completing Information Technology studies in 2003, Tamas made the significant decision to immigrate to the United States in 2006, where he has since built an impressive career in construction and insurance-related fields.
From 2006 to 2017, Tamas worked extensively in the construction field, gaining hands-on experience with building materials, construction techniques, and project management that now serve as the foundation for his estimating expertise. His practical construction background provides him with invaluable insight into repair methodologies, material requirements, and labor considerations that ensure his estimates accurately reflect real-world construction costs and timelines.
Tamas’s commitment to professional development is evidenced by his progressive licensure achievements. He obtained his Florida State Home Inspector license in 2016, followed by his Insurance Adjuster license in 2017, and ultimately earned his Public Adjuster license in 2022. This systematic approach to professional advancement demonstrates his dedication to mastering each aspect of property assessment and claims advocacy.
In his current role as Estimator, Tamas is responsible for collecting necessary information for new claims and supplements to prepare accurate damage estimates. His process includes comprehensive property inspections, interior and exterior photography, aerial drone photography when necessary, and precise measurements that form the basis for detailed repair scopes. His attention to documentation ensures that all aspects of property damage are properly identified and quantified.
Tamas excels in coordination and collaboration, working effectively with adjusters and contractors to ensure that estimates reflect both technical accuracy and practical feasibility. He conducts re-inspections with building consultants, adjusters, and engineers as needed, preparing revised or supplemental estimates that account for changing project requirements or newly discovered damages.
His technical expertise encompasses detail-oriented work habits, strong organizational skills, and collaborative teamwork that contribute to overall project success. Tamas is familiar with most building materials and construction techniques, enabling him to assess damage accurately across diverse property types. His proficiency in Xactimate software ensures that his estimates meet industry standards, while his FAA drone license certification allows him to capture comprehensive aerial documentation that enhances damage assessment capabilities.
Throughout his career with SCC, Tamas has handled thousands of residential claims as an independent adjuster and hundreds of commercial large-loss claims as an estimator. This extensive experience has provided him with expertise across property types and loss scenarios, from routine residential damages to complex commercial losses requiring specialized knowledge and coordination among multiple professionals.
