Michael A. Fried is a distinguished industry leader with extensive experience in all facets of claims handling, serving as Partner, Vice President, and Global EGA at Strategic Claim Consultants. His impressive credentials include certification as a member of the Insurance Appraisal and Umpire Association (CPAU), OSHA 10 Certification, and active multi-state licensure as a Public Adjuster in over 30 states. Michael earned his EGA designation through Travelers/St. Paul Indemnity Co. in 2005, and previously served as a team leader for PASCO Claims Services.
Michael’s expertise in dispute resolution is evidenced by his nomination—both directly and through court appointment—as an umpire or appraiser over 750 times, dating back to Hurricane Katrina. His comprehensive experience encompasses adjusting or providing expert reports for over 12,500 properties and casualty claims across industrial, commercial, multi-family, and residential properties under all documented perils. He carries multiple IICRC certifications and maintains membership in the IICRC Corporate Clean Trust.
His leadership within the public adjusting community is reflected in his service as the past President-elect of TAPIA (Texas Association of Public Insurance Adjusters) and a past board member of NAPIA (National Association of Public Insurance Adjusters). Michael’s specialty training includes Wind/Hail, Fire, Water, Mold-Microbial, Roofing, Emergency Management, Policy Interpretation, Claims Handling, and Bad Faith support through testimony and trial in both State and Federal courts.
Michael’s career progression demonstrates his evolution from hands-on construction work to industry leadership. Beginning with Hegg Bros. Construction as a Pella™ Window and Door Installer, he advanced through roles at Aftermath Construction & Feazel Roofing, PASCO Claims Service as a Team Leader/Independent Large Loss Adjuster, and SERVPRO Fire & Water Restoration as Project Manager & Loss Consultant. Since 2008, he has operated All American Public Adjusters, LLC, and since 2014, Aftermath Consulting Group, LLC, provides expert services and litigation assistance.
His extensive trial and deposition testimony experience spans over a decade, including numerous high-profile cases across multiple jurisdictions. Michael has provided expert testimony in matters ranging from commercial property losses to complex coverage disputes, establishing him as a recognized authority in claims handling, cost analysis, and industry standard practices.
Michael’s educational journey reflects his diverse interests and practical approach to learning. His formal education includes graduation from Solon High School, completion of the Beachwood Culinary Institute’s 1,500-hour Culinary Arts program, and studies in Business Administration at the University of Toledo and Columbus State Community College. His Pella™ Window and Door installation certification provided a technical foundation that continues to inform his understanding of building systems and construction practices.
Beyond his technical expertise, Michael maintains active involvement in continuing education and industry development. He has served as a panel speaker at the WIND Conference in Orlando, Florida, and continues to pursue additional state licenses to expand SCC’s operational capabilities. His commitment to professional development is evidenced by his ongoing acquisition of new certifications and his participation in industry organizations and educational initiatives.
