Derek Chartrand

After earning an Automotive Service Management degree in 2019 and becoming an ASE certified automobile technician, Derek spent six years working as a mechanic. In the aftermath of Hurricane Ian, the SCC team was inundated with new claims daily and required young, driven, and hardworking individuals to help handle the workload. This led him to join SCC in November 2022 as a building consultant.

He is responsible for various duties ranging from photographing damages on both exterior and interior surfaces to creating photo reports using Matterport drone photos and videos. He is tasked with generating memorandum of inspections among many others.

In his personal time, Derek manages to find time for his passion—cars! In any free moment that comes by, you’ll most likely find him in the garage tinkering away on something.
